The Manatee County Fellowship of Christian Athletes is pleased to announce that one of the nation’s top experts on leadership and teamwork will be speaking in Bradenton on Saturday, October 23rd.
The event will take place from 12:30-2:00pm at the Youth for Christ’s 180 House.
Jamy Bechler is the host of the “Success is a Choice” podcast and is a certified John Maxwell Leadership Coach. He has also written three books, including The Leadership Playbook. His fourth book, The Captain, is set to be released this Thanksgiving.
Saturday’s topic will be “Influencing Today’s Generation of Kids.”
Bechler spent 20 years as a college basketball coach and high school athletic director. As an athletic director, he transformed the athletic department, instituting budgeting processes, student-athlete leadership training, and innovative marketing strategies that were featured in Athletic Management magazine. He supervised the 5th largest high school gymnasium in the country (7,000+ capacity) and oversaw the boys basketball team winning their 8th state championship (most in Indiana history).
He now works with high-level organizations and sports teams helping them maximize their potential in the area of leadership, culture, and teamwork.
Bechler’s popular on-demand leadership program (TheLeadershipPlaybook.com) is used by teams and athletic departments nationwide as they seek to develop better teammates and more positive leaders so that they can have stronger cultures.
Saturday’s event is geared toward coaches, administrators, educators, leaders, and any adult that works with youth. Lunch is provided free of charge. Additionally, Bechler has graciously donated copies of his book for everyone in attendance.
