Does someone around you have a case of the Mondays?
I hope not.
Having a case of the Mondays can be detrimental to you and those you interact with.
The Mondays even seem to be highly contagious.
For those that haven’t heard this term before…
A case of the Mondays is an especially bad mood brought on by the start of the workweek or the school week. The phrase was made popular in the comedy film Office Space, which was a satire of U.S. work cultures and management.
Anyway, hopefully, nobody around you has a case of the Mondays.
Even more importantly … I hope you don’t have a sour mood brought on by any of your responsibilities, obligations, tasks, or concerns.
You can’t choose what day the week starts.
But you can choose your attitude concerning the day after an enjoyable and free weekend.
The negativity that accompanies a case of the Mondays doesn’t help anyone.
Not only can a case of the Mondays spread to other people, but it spreads to other days.
Choosing to have a bad Monday won’t make your Tuesday any better.
