Motivational Minute: The Past

We are one month into the new year and hope you are still excited about the prospects that 2022 brings.

There is just something cool about flipping the calendar and feel as if we have a new starting point.

When we flip the calendar, we also have a chance to leave the last month (or year) behind us.

Regardless of whether or not we liked 2021, we can do three things with the past.

 

We can LIVE in it, DWELL on it, or LEARN from it.

Maybe our past was great and we live in it. We don’t leave it because it was so good. We shouldn’t let our past accomplishments keep us from making new memories or achieving new milestones.

Some of us DWELL on the past. Maybe we’ve screwed up or experienced difficulties. We aren’t able to move forward and achieve our potential.

The third thing we can do with the past is LEARN from it. Whether we’ve had a good past or not, we can learn from it. We can grow from it. There is always something we can learn from our past.

So, which will we choose? Whether 2021 was good, bad, or just meh, how will we use it to make 2022 great?!?

Remember that success is a choice. What choice will we make today?
