“Some people want it to happen, other people wish it would happen, but successful people MAKE it happen.” (Michael Jordan)

I remember the first and only time I stormed the basketball court as a fan.
It was my 8th-grade year and I just watched the high school team win the District championship.
Lots of teams hoist a trophy during March Madness but not every team wins it on the opponent’s home court. Fewer still win in a dramatic fashion with a comeback for the ages.
You see, our Jonesville comets were down by six points with 13 seconds remaining and the home team was shooting free throws. All seemed lost.
Amazingly, the opponents missed and our team took advantage of this. The Comets frantically scored seven straight points to win the championship.
I remember barely having time to realize what had just happened.
We went from putting our jackets on to leave; to jumping around on the basketball court hugging anyone we could find.
Even if the odds seemed stacked against us and time was running out, I’d remember that moment.
Today we might be facing some long odds. It might seem that we’ve lost, but March Madness has a way of reminding us to never stop believing.
We can win today.
We must find reasons to keep going, finish strong, and make a comeback for the ages.
Below is the video of that memorable moment courtesy of one of the players (Tom Dunn). Please excuse the quality since he recorded it on his phone while watching the VHS recording on his TV 😀
