Persuading Others

Former Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg used to say “Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.”

Through the years, I have seen this quote posted on social media and referred to quite often. Most of the time, it is used as motivation or justification for fighting for a cause.

Oh?!?

“The single biggest problem with communication is the illusion it has taken place.” (George Bernard Shaw)

He put the note on his wife’s pillow, then turned over and went to sleep.

Making Your Bed

“If you want to change the world, then start by making your bed.” (Admiral William H. McRaven)

I woke up this morning running late and the last thing I wanted to do was take 30-seconds to make my bed.

Maybe you’ve been right there with me struggling between listening to that pesky little bed-making devil on one shoulder and that cleanliness-is-next-to-godliness angel on the other shoulder.

After all, that bed is just going to get messed up again that night, anyway, who will ever see it?

Dead Right

One day when I was in high school, I was walking down the sidewalk with my mother.

Please click here to listen to the 2-minute audio version of this article from the Success is a Choice podcast network.

I had the pleasure of speaking with the boys basketball team at my old high school.

Please click here to listen to the 2-minute audio version of this article from the Success is a Choice podcast network.

As I was talking to the guys, it hit me out of the blue that this was 2022 and my team won the championship in 1992.
