Getting the Most Out of Your Coaching Mentors

The leadership expert and author John C. Maxwell says, “We all need someone to help us in our pursuit of intentional growth and the right mentor helps you take massive leaps forward.”

Even coaches need coaches. Maxwell talks about “intentional growth”. This is when you make the conscious decision to make yourself better.

Goals for 2020

“The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago.  The second best time is now.”  (Chinese Proverb)

The year 2020 should be your best year ever.  Do you plan on setting some “New Year’s Resolutions”.  Resolutions are really just goals that we set for ourselves.  The following is a list of 25 of my favorite quotes about achieving goals.  I hope that some of these inspire you to achieve your goals for 2020.

Hope Is Not The Best Strategy

Every Goal Needs A Plan

Are You Prepared?

The Penn State University scandal is a situation that we all must pay attention to and learn from.  I will not be writing an Op-Ed piece, nor passing judgment in this brief column.  Rather, I encourage all coaches, administrators, teachers . . . anyone that is reading this to take heed and examine how you would handle this kind of situation.  More importantly, how would you handle other situations that may be once in a lifetime situations.
